The CFR's new deluxe passenger Pullman coaches have now entered service. Sir Hanney collects the coaching stock from the main line loop before taking them round to the station. At St.Bernards, Tracey takes over from Sir Hanney and carries the fully loaded train to the holt. Lady Vandeleur was due to take over here however due to the loco failure, Balham was called in to take the service. The end of the day saw a Double header with Sir Hanney and Tracey.
Lady Vandeleur and Sir Hanney have the job of taking the local passenger service from St.Bernards station to Priory Heights via Priory village. At Priory Heights, two boxcars are being collected for the journey back. This video shows the new teak coaches being used on their first day in service on the CFR. It's all go at the Charnwood Forest Garden Railway Steam Gala.
The Charnwood Forest Garden Railway's Mining branch line has opened for service. Though some work still needs to be done, trains are able to operate a limited service to the quarry and back.
Lady Vandeleur has had some time out and has now been fitted with a summerlands chuffer and cab doors from Locoworks. I think it looks and sounds rather good, don't you?
